Holly and Oscar with Ivy

Oscar is very sweet and gentle with his new little sister.

Holly loves to help and hold Ivy any chance she gets.

5K Race/Fun Run 4/30/11

We went to participate in a 5K walk/run. Well, Brad and Holly officially entered the race. Oscar, Ivy and I walked a little bit of it and cheered them on. We didn't pay for Oscar to officially enter the race. He felt a little gypped since he started the race with Brad and Holly and didn't understand why he couldn't win a medal. The race ran in front of a house that belongs to a member of the church in our ward. So, before I got back to church after the baby, it was rumored that I had run a 5K two weeks after having a baby. The year before I had run it and they saw Holly run past their house this year. It was a little bit funny.

Holly was excited to run!

She ran most of the 5K by herself because she took off in the begining and left Brad. He never caught back up with her. She was very happy to beat him:).

To Brad's credit, he started the race slowly so he could stay with Oscar.

Holly, getting her medal. She finished 1st in her age group with a finishing time of 42 minutes and 13 seconds (she was the only one in her age category but it made it fun for her).

Ivy was sleeping in the stroller nearby.

Brad and Holly after the race. You can see Oscar in the background feeling upset because he didn't win a trophy:).

There was an extra medal that the people in charge of the race kindly gave Oscar. He felt pretty good after that!

Holly and Brad with their medals. Brad also won 1st in his age group (There weren't a lot of people in the race. We don't really need to mention he was also the only one in that age bracket for males:) Oh and we made money by entering the race because there was a door prize and they drew Brad's name for a $50 gas card. Due to the small amount of people that entered the race we also got an additional $20 coupon that we also put towards gas. The whole thing was great!

Grandma Lorraine

All the Kentucky cousin's came to visit with Aunt Lisa and Uncle Steve.

Grandma Lorraine made Holly a Raggedy Ann and Oscar a Raggedy Andy.

Easter

Easter was nice. A big "thanks" goes out to Grandma Lorraine for making it extra fun and cooking for us.

Waiting and looking for the Easter Bunny.

After they found their baskets, they ran out to see if they could catch a glimpse of the Easter Bunny. Somehow, he got away fast enough and they didn't see him:).

April was the second wettest month in Cincinnati history. We got almost 13 1/2 inches of rain in April alone. Here is a picture of the water running off in the empty lot next to our house. Needless to say, it was too wet to have an Easter egg hunt outside this year.

Wishing a happy Easter to Gramlis and Paphil on the webcam.

Holly helping Grandma Lorraine make homemade rolls for Easter.
Grandma Lorraine made these fun "chicken muffins" as Oscar called them.

First Bath 4/22/11

Just a few days old...

We were trying to duplicate the hospital pictures so we wouldn't have to buy any. It didn't turn out quite as well. Oh well, I thought I'd share a few anyway.

Holly's First Loose Tooth

Not long before Ivy was due, Holly ran into my room in the morning very excited and told me she had a loose tooth! For the last several months she had been waiting and wondering when this might happen. A couple weeks later it was out and the tooth fairy came. I should have written down the date it came out but I don't remember exactly, sometime at the end of April. Things are a little "foggy" these days:).

She wiggled and wiggled that little tooth.
